Producers still tinkering with format

Love Connection logoFox is getting back in the dating show business.

The network today announced a revival of the popular 1970s game show, LOVE CONNECTION, executive produced by BACHELOR mastermind Mike Fleiss.

Hot tubs anyone?

The program will be hosted by master relationship meddler Andy Cohen.

The move comes just months after it failed to win audiences over with the Mark Burnett-produced dating series, COUPLED.

“I don’t think the show will be raunchy, I think the show will be fun,” Fox Entertainment president David Madden told reporters in Pasadena, California today.

“I think a large part of the fun of the show for us was Andy being able to interact with people that are in that dating process, having that comedic commentary.”

Madden says the network and producers are “still early in the process of figuring out (specifics of the format),” but notes that it will not just feature straight people looking for love.

“It will have all versions of couples,”  he says.

No premiere date has been announced.
