‘Celebrity Apprentice’: Trump Blasts Show’s Low Ratings

...then Ah-nold responds!

Donald Trump Arnold Schwarzenegger Celebrity Apprentice
If Donald Trump could “terminate” Arnold Schwarzenegger from THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE, he probably would!

The soon-to-be Commander In Chief was back on Twitter this morning blasting the show’s lousy premiere night ratings.

Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got “swamped” (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT,” Trump wrote.

“So much for being a movie star-and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1. But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary.”

This week’s season — which features celebrities including Boy George, Jon Lovitz and Vince Neil — drew only 4.9 million viewers (a roughly 46% drop from The Donald’s last season).

Schwarzenegger, the former two term governor of California, moved into the board room when NBC parted way with Trump last summer.

The Twitter-happy billionaire continues to serve as an executive producer of the program he helped originate back in 2004.

It is unclear exactly why Trump is publicly mocking a show that he stands to make money from. But then again, much of what the POTUS-in-waiting does seems to make little sense.

Arnold, of course, wasted no time responding to Trump’s comments, but seemed to take a less aggressive tone.

“There’s nothing more important than the people’s work,” he wrote in one early morning tweet. “Wish you the best of luck and I hope you’ll work for ALL of the American people as aggressively as you worked for your ratings.”

THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE airs Mondays at 8:00 PM ET/PT on NBC.
