‘America’s Got Talent’: Grace VanderWaal Wins!

Tween singer wept openly after her name was called

Grace Vanderwall wins 'America's Got Talent'

Grace VanderWaal surprised…well, absolutely no one Wednesday night when she was named winner of AMERICA’S GOT TALENT.

The 12 year-old ukulele sensation from Suffern, New York took home the show’s $1 million grand prize and will headline an upcoming concert in Las Vegas.

“How does it feel?” host Nick Cannon asked her after the big reveal. “These are tears of joy, right?”

“Yes, of course,” she replied between sobs.

Grace was a favorite to win all season.

At he very first audition, Simon Cowell praised the sixth grader as “the next Taylor Swift.”

The next day, I predicted she would be the last act standing.

Mentalist act The Clairvoyants placed second. Third place went to NFL star and magician John Dorenbos.

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT will return for a 12th season in May 2017.
