Joshua Allen — a popular winner of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE — could face more than 10 years in prison if convicted of beating up his girlfriend on two occasions this year.
The show’s season four champ is being charge with both felony and misdemeanor assault, stemming from incidents on both April 13 ands June 19, 2016.
Charges were filed today by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, according to Deadline.
The 2008 winner of Fox’s SYTYCD is also charged with two misdemeanor counts for disobeying a domestic relations criminal protective order with his girlfriend. As well, the 27-year old has simple battery and vandalism under $400 misdemeanor charges looming over him.
Allen — who also appeared in the movies STEP UP3D and FOOTLOOSE — was convicted in January of “willfully injuring a girlfriend” with a glass vase.
He was arraigned in Los Angeles Superior Court today.
Prosecutors are seeking $270,000 bail.
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE airs Monday nights on Fox.
