Cheryl Burke can’t stop dancing!

The two time DANCING WITH THE STARS champion premiered her new show LOVE ON THE FLOOR last night in Tokyo.  Performances are scheduled to continue through July 9.

“I’ve seen so many shows on Broadway, I’ve been to so many other dance shows, but I’ve never quite seen a show that just tells a story through movement,” she tells Us Weekly.  “I really wanted to be able to do that.”

Love on the Floor tells the story of a relationship from beginning to end. “It’s very artistic and very unique, but love is such a universal theme, I believe it could be shown anywhere in the world because everyone has gone through it,” the dancer, who left DWTS after 18 seasons in 2014, says. “Whether you’re from Tokyo or India or the U.S., you’ll be able to take away something from this. It doesn’t have to involve singers or actors, it just tells a story through movement.”

Cheryl Burke is joined on stage by Olympic skaters Charlie White, Meryl Davis, Daisuke Takahashi and Kristi Yamaguchi.

After Tokyo, Cheryl says she hopes to bring the show to Broadway and Las Vegas.

Cheryl won her first championship in season two with 98 Degrees singer Drew Lachey.  She won again the following year with retired NFL star Emmett Smith.  Other celebrity partners include Rob Kardashian, Drew Carey and Jack Osbourne.

DANCING WITH THE STARS returns in fall 2016 on ABC.
