NBC: ‘The Apprentice’ Created Trump Candidacy

NBC has confirmed what most of us already knew:  it was reality TV — specifically THE APPRENTICE — that created the Donald Trump for President campaign.

Trump’s persona on the campaign trail is “in lockstep with his persona on the show,” Paul Telegdy, the network’s head of alternative and late-night programming says.

Speaking at an HRTS luncheon in Beverly Hills today, Telegdy also observed:

“You can’t argue the guy’s walking around the getting a lot of votes…I don’t think where Donald is now in the campaign is any surprise to anyone that worked closely with him…everyone wonders if we’ve got a crew following his campaign.”

For the record, they don’t.
