Julianne Hough wasn’t the right fit for DANCING WITH THE STARS, a source close to the show has revealed.
“Julianne never really fit in. Fans didn’t like her, and there were tensions between her and the other judges,” the unnamed insider tells The National Enquirer.
Hough, once a popular dancer on the ABC series, was promoted to the judges table during season 19. When Len Goodman stepped down last year, it looked like she may have the gig for good.
But while popular with fellow dancers, Hough reportedly locked horns with judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba behind the scenes.
“Julianne found fame — and an acting career — through dancing on the show, but she acted like she was doing everyone a favor by going back as a judge. Both Bruno and Carrie Ann thought she had a major attitude, and that infuriated them!” the source claims.
Hough, 27, will be replaced for the upcoming season 22, by Goodman.
Her brother, multi-time champion Derek Hough, will also be absent when the show returns tonight at 8:00 PM.
“No one’s shedding any tears about Julianne being gone!” the insider said.
