The show’s season 19 champion is pinch-hitting for pal Tom Bergeron, who will be at the bedside of his ailing father.
Bergeron announced the switch-up Sunday afternoon on Twitter.
“I’ll miss 2morrow’s #dwts to be at my Dad’s bedside,” he posted. “He’s given me a lifetime of support. Time to return the favor.”
Ribeiro, 44, also used the social media service to confirm his part on the show. (He will be joined on the telecast by co-host Erin Andrews.)
This is not the first time the former FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR star has taken over for Bergeron.
On October 11, Ribeiro becomes the new host of AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS.
DANCING WITH THE STARS airs Mondays at 8:00 PM on ABC.
