‘The View’:
Raven-Symone Says She Wore A Fat Suit On Sitcom

"I wasn’t the size they wanted me to be"

Raven Symone The View
Another shocker on THE VIEW Monday as co-host Raven-Symone revealed that she was asked to wear a fat suit on her ABC Family series STATE OF GEORGIA.

“They had me wear a fat suit because they said I wasn’t the size they wanted me to be,” she said.

The series, which debuted in 2012 was canceled after just one season.

The gang had been discussing recent comments by Zoe Saldana about new mothers who are shamed for not immediately losing baby weight.

“There’s just way too much pressure” said co-host Paula Faris, a former ABC News anchor and mother of three. “The pressure to get back into shape afterwards — I was told to look a little sexier … People just need to back off and let you take your time.”

THE VIEW airs weekdays on ABC.
