‘America’s Got Talent’: Paul Zerdin Named Season 10 Winner (WATCH)

Paul Zerdin reacts to winning season 10 of 'America's Got Talent'

Some dummy just won AMERICA’S GOT TALENT!

Well, technically it was ventriloquist Paul Zerdin and a bunch of his puppets.

The 43 year-old Brit seemed genuinely shocked when host Nick Cannon called his name at the end of Wednesday night’s celeb-filled, two hour finale show.

“I am totally speechless,” he said.  “Thank you so much.  It is surreal.  I am bowled over.”

A series finale low 8.4 million people watched as Zerdin narrowly beat out stuttering comedian Drew Lynch by a margin of only one percent.

As part of his prize, Zerdin will appear on the AMERICA’S GOT TALENT LIVE tour this fall and headline the show’s three night stop (October 22 – 24) at Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas.

Check out Paul’s winning moment — and some of his best performances — below.

“I love ventriloquism because I guess it’s an excuse for me not to have to grow up,” he says in a video montage played moments before the results were revealed.

“Being able to do what I do makes people smile, and I love that. I really want America’s vote, but at the end of the day, I really am just a bloke with a doll. I’ve been doing ventriloquism for quite a long time and winning this would just be the icing on the cake.”

Open-call auditions for Season 11 start Nov. 7 in Detroit. For more information, visit www.AGTAuditions.com.
