Joan Rivers is gone but not forgotten.
Melissa Rivers paid tribute to her mother yesterday on the one year anniversary of her death.
“Today marks one year since my mother passed,” Melissa wrote on the comedian’s official Twitter page. “This was the year of firsts: first holidays, first birthdays, first everythings without mom, without grandma.
“While it’s been difficult, I’ve been amazed by the outpouring of love and overwhelming kindness we’ve received from family, friends, and people whose lives were touched by the woman they knew as Joan — a woman we all miss so very much,” she continued.
The post has been retweeted more than 1100 times.
Joan Rivers died September 4, 2014 of complications from a routine throat surgery.
Last week, Melissa took over her mother’s longtime job as the co-host of FASHION POLICE on the E! network.
