‘The Simpsons’: Which Voice Actor Is Walking Away After 25 Years?

$14 million for two years is nice work if you can get it.

But Harry Shearer has politely said, “No, thank you” to producers of THE SIMPSONS.

Now, as the long-running Fox series heads into its 27th season next year, there will be a new voice behind popular characters including Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders and Kent Brockman.

Shearers characters will be handed over to “the most talented members of the voice over community,” Executive Producer Al Jean told CNN.

THE SIMPSONS airs Sunday evenings on Fox.
