Here’s what’s got the TV world buzzing on Tuesday, January 20, 2015:
JUSTIN BIEBER TO BE ROASTED [UNFORTUNATELY, NOT LITERALLY] BY COMEDY CENTRAL
He’s always been the butt of the joke, but now Justin Bieber has agreed to be roasted by a panel of actual, real, honest-to-goodness comedians. On TV.
Does it get any better?
Turns out the Biebs has been preparing for the gig for a while.
“For years I have wanted Comedy Central to roast me,” he wrote on Twitter. “They said only if I provided them w/ more material so for a year now I have worked hard.”
The special tapes March 7 in Los Angeles.
‘COUPLES THERAPY’ HITS A NEW CULTURAL LOW
In its on-going attempt to scrape the bottom of the pop culture barrel, VH1’s COUPLE’S THERAPY has extended an invitation to Mama June and Sugar Bear.
The parents of Alana Thompson (HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO) are apparently also being courted by another show called MARRIAGE BOOT CAMP: REALITY STARS.
The couple have all all sorts of marital woes — even before June began dating the man who molested her teenage daughter. Yuck!
COUPLES THERAPY — which usually features D-List celebrities trying to solve their fake problems in the name or free publicity — is hosted by Dr. Jenn Berman (who, herself, is divorced).
REALITY STAR DIES TRYING TO BE LIKE SUPERMAN
Reality TV star Greg Plitt appears to have died trying to run alongside a speeding train near Burbank, California.
Friends say the fitness buff was filming a video for his personal website when he tripped and was struck by the train.
“He just made a mistake,” his friend Warren Coulter says.
Plitt, 37, appeared on the Bravo series WORKOUT and FRIENDS TO LOVERS.
