LAW & ORDER: SVU is set to air a special ripped-from-the-headlines episode inspired by the accusations surrounding comedian Bill Cosby.
“But as I’ve said for 20 years, all of the LAW & ORDERs are fiction.”
To date, more than 30 women — including former SVU actress Michelle Hurd — have come forward with various accounts of being drugged and date-raped by the once beloved star.
“It is obviously, low lying fruit,” Wolf said. “Not that specific event, but that sequence of events. I am not sure of the air date, but it is coming.”
Earlier Friday, NBC programming boss Bob Greenblatt stated that the network had no plans to work on future projects with Cosby.
LAW & ORDER: SVU airs Wednesdays on NBC.
