‘Utopia’: Fox Finally Pulls The Plug On Struggling ‘Social Experiment’

Utopia

In Fox’s utopia there is no UTOPIA.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, the network pulled the plug today on its struggling ‘social experiment.’

The show — in which Fox reportedly invested more than $50 million — was supposed to give 15 “pioneers” a change to build their own society and live off the grid for one full year.

UTOPIA struggled with low ratings pretty much from the start.

Last Friday’s broadcast attracted only 1.6 million viewers.

Deadline reports that the current participants will be notified later today and sent home.

The live streams appear to already have been cut off.
