Gay-bashing ‘Bachelor’ Juan Pablo Galavis is returning to reality TV this month on season five of COUPLES THERAPY.
If the VH-1 series hoped to regain any of the credibility it lost from last season’s Farrah Abraham fiasco, bringing on the least popular Bachelor of all-time is probably not a good place to start.
On COUPLES THERAPY, he and girfriend Nikki Ferrell will be counseled by family therapist Dr. Jenn Berman.
It is unclear, however, what issues they will be looking to address.
Despite their involvement in the series, Galavis and Ferrell have been going strong. In July, they were all smiles as they spent a weekend in Celebration, Florida, to volunteer for Hearts of Reality, a charity that raises money for Give Kids the World. In August, they danced the night away while celebrating Galavis’s 33rd birthday bash.
“We’re doing great,” Ferrell told PEOPLE last month. “We’re very happy together.”
I have met and worked with Dr. Jenn on several occasions and find her to be a lovely person and a caring doctor.
It is a shame that she has allowed her name be so closely associated with personalities like Farrah and Juan Pablo, who are so clearly just looking to extend their 15 minutes of fame.
This is all manufactured, reality TV drama.
Dr. Jenn could be using her talents for so much more.
COUPLES THERAPY returns September 10 on VH1.
