‘Sing Your Face Off’: Jon Lovitz To Become Elton John For May 31 Premiere

Debbie Gibson, Darrell Hammond Set To Judge New ABC Singing Competition

Sing Your Face Off

Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Elton John will go head-to-head in TV’s newest singing competition. Sort of.

ABC released more details today about SING YOUR FACE OFF, where five celebrities are physically transformed into — and then perform as — the biggest names in pop music.

The competition, premiering May 31, will feature soap actress Lisa Rinna (DAYS OF OUR LIVES), rocker Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), NBA star Landry Fields (Toronto Raptors), Disney Channel star China Anne McClain (HOW TO BUILD A BETTER BOY) and comedian Jon Lovitz.

Performances (which will be pre-recorded in front of a live studio audience) will be judges by SNL alum Darrell Hammond, and “Shake Your Love” singer Debbie Gibson.

Viewers at home will not be able to vote.

“First [the celebrities] will go through a dramatic physical hair and makeup transformation — armed with top tier choreographer, vocal coaches, a live band an electrifying stage spectacle and a huge dose of humor,” according to an official preview video.

“This show is not about eliminations. It is not about making or breaking careers. It is about having fun with celebrities and celebrating their many talents.”

Here’s a list of transformations scheduled for the first two episodes:

Episode “101”

Sebastian Bach = Adam Levine

Landry Fields = Lionel Richie

Jon Lovitz = Elton John

China Anne McClain = Rihanna

Lisa Rinna = Dolly Parton

Episode “102”

Sebastian Bach = Lady Gaga

Landry Fields = Pitbull

Jon Lovitz = Pavarotti

China Anne McClain = Tina Turner

Lisa Rinna = Britney Spears

SING YOUR FACE OFF is based on the series YOUR FACE SOUNDS FAMILIAR, which is already a ratings winner in China, Spain and the U.K.

It was originally pitched under the name CELEBRITY REMIX.
