Chelsea Handler: ‘I Would Never Go To CBS’ (Watch)

Comic addresses late night rumors on 'The Ellen Degeneres Show'

Confused?  Yeah, us too…
Chelsea Handler — who spent the past week teasing that she may take over THE LATE, LATE SHOW from Craig Ferguson — has now said she “would never” jump to CBS.

“I would never be on a regular network,” she told Ellen Degeneres in an interview airing today.   “I would never do that to my fans, myself, or the network.”

“I enjoy the bad things. I’m a bad girl. Who wants to reel me in? I mean I wouldn’t want to reel me in. That wouldn’t be fun for anyone.”

Chelsea, 39, also turned her nose up at the vacant seat Stephen Colbert will leave next year at Comedy Central, when he leaves to replace David Letterman.

“I don’t want to take a job that somebody else has already done.”

The stand-up comic — who also produces E! channel’s HELLO ROSS — said she will step down from her current late night series when her contract with E! runs out at the end of the year.

Earlier this week she sparked rumors of a move to broadcast TV by publishing a photo on instagram in which she appeared to be holding some papers with a CBS logo.

Perhaps she could take her act to CNN and fill the seat formerly occupied by her nemesis, Piers Morgan?
