Danny Trejo: Latin Icon Carves Bread Animals (Watch)

“I guess I just like them because they are silly and fun"

Everyone has a hobby. Danny Trejo’s is carving animals out of bread.

“I don’t know why I make them, but I think they are pretty cute,” the Latin icon says in a new (soon to be viral) video posted on Nerdist.com.

“I guess I just like them because they are silly and fun. You could have a turkey sandwich on one of these turkeys…made out of rye?”

Danny has 33 film and TV projects on the slate through 2016, including the new FX comedy SAINT GEORGE.

But he can often be found in the kitchen with a loaf of bread and a knife.

“It is kind of like whittling meets carving,” he says.

[The video above was obviously made as a joke — but it is really funny.  Check it out.]
