‘X Factor’: Alex & Sierra ‘Deflated’ After ’80s Night Performance

Cover Of 'Addicted To Love' Failed To Impress The Judges

Alex Kinsey & Sierra Deaton are feeling “a little deflated” after negative comments from Simon Cowell, on THE X FACTOR.

Alex & Sierra have been America’s sweethearts for weeks — and remain fan favorites — but Cowell was less than impressed with their cover of Robert Palmer’s “Addicted To Love” during 80’s Night (November 13).

“I hate to say this because I am your mentor, (but) this wasn’t as good as it should have been,” he told them.

The singing lovebirds still appeared to be a state of shock when I caught up with them backstage moments after the performance.

“Usually we will get a negative comment here and there,” Alex told me.  “But honestly I think if we are still here after tomorrow night, this will be good for us.  It will help us grow.  It will help us learn how to take pretty harsh criticism a little better.   It is just kind of shocking the first time.”

Do you think Alex & Sierra deserve to advance?  Leave us a comment with your thoughts?
