Shark school is in session!
Or at least it will be next month when SHARK TANK star Barbara Corcoran visits with 200 or more students at Jefferson Township High School in New Jersey.
And Barbara tells me ABC camera will be on hand to film the entire thing for a future episode.
“We tried it last semester with great success and they are back for more,” she told me for a story in today’s New York Post.
“It’s like a SHARK TANK feeding frenzy — like a room full of born-again Christians at Sunday service!”
I also reached out to the teacher who set the whole thing up. Here’s some of what she had to say:
Teacher Gail DeGraw called Corcoran last year after her students staged a mock version of the hit ABC reality show.
The students “work in groups and pitch their product or service to the sharks [a panel of teachers],” she says.
“The students’ projects range from apps to actual services and/or products/ideas. They request funding from the sharks, realizing they have to put a cost of what their business is worth.
“Our students watch the show, and I wanted to let Ms. Corcoran know she and the other sharks had big fans at Jefferson Township High School!,” DeGraw says.
